ENDOTOXIN-FREE 生长因子增加干细胞研究的可重复性
内毒素(lipopolysaccharides; LPS)是由细菌产生并释放,比如大肠杆菌,是商业化生长因子生产中最普遍使用的一种细菌。目前细胞因子内毒素含量行业公认标准是1 EU/ug或 0.1ng/ug,但已有研究显示,即使是1 EU/ug或 0.1ng/ug的内毒素,对于细胞,尤其是干细胞培养仍是有害的。这降低了细胞培养的可重复性,因为这些不同细胞因子甚至是同一细胞因子间的内毒素污染的细微波动,在细胞培养中将引起不可预测的变化。因此,在细胞培养中使用endotoxin-free的生长因子可增加实验的精确性和可重复性。
